Recognised for Excellence
Recognises the level of maturity of an organisation when assessed using the full EFQM Excellence Model Framework.
An outline of the process:
- Assessors spend a week with an organisation looking at approaches to Leadership, Strategy, People, Partnership and Resources and Processes, Products and Services. They also look at Results for Customer, People and Society (perceptions and indicators) and other key Business Results.
- Each topic is scored. Organisations are rated from 1 – 1000 and must achieve a minimum of 300 to achieve recognition.
- Feedback is given in terms of strengths and areas for improvement and typically a report will hold over 50 strengths statements and 50 areas for improvement statements that reflect the position of the organisation at the time of assessment.
Recognition is scored thus:
- 300+ points – 3 Star
- 400+ points – 4 star
- 500+ points – 5 star
5 star recognises a degree of good management within an organisation, some well defined process and some positive trends for results over at least three years for some of the criteria. However, it does not suggest perfection and organisations work hard with the feedback to continue their journey.
Recognition is valid for 2 years.
