BQF Members and colleagues were honoured and delighted to welcome our Patron Her Royal Highness, The Princess Royal to officially open our office on Thursday 17 November 2016.
Following a short presentation Her Royal Highness (HRH), our Patron for more than 15 years, was introduced to almost 80 members from a broad range of organisations before unveiling an official plaque to mark the occasion. Guests welcomed the opportunity to meet HRH and the BQF Board and network with other members.
David Callaghan, BQF President commented:
“The official opening of our new City office by our Patron, Her Royal Highness, The Princess Royal, was a wonderful occasion. It brought together many of our members, staff, and long term supporters. ”
Observing the broad range of organisations represented at the event, HRH commented on the enthusiasm from members who said attending events like today offer huge opportunities for them to network and share ideas with their peers. Also having access to the EFQM Excellence Model is critical and crucial to their organisations success and just one of the many key elements BQF membership provides.
Russell Longmuir CEO of BQF who made the presentation to HRH and introduced her to our members said:
“I was delighted that HRH commended the BQF Board highly for having the confidence to invest in the move to our new office and create a high profile member hub. She told me how gratified she was that the BQF and its members, from billion pound companies to colleges and charities, had such passion and enthusiasm to improve performance within their organisations”
The move to new offices is one of several changes we have made as part of our own excellence journey. We have ambitious plans to provide even better services and value for our members. We are developing new products and resources, and continue to share, celebrate and promote business excellence across the UK.
