Strong leadership and committed staff ensure a high level of excellence is maintained throughout one of the most diverse substance misuse organisations in the UK.
Phoenix Futures, a charity and housing association, which has been helping people overcome drug and alcohol problems for more than 45 years, has successfully retained its 5-star EFQM Recognised for Excellence (R4E) status following a rigorous assessment.
Karen Biggs, Phoenix Chief Executive said:
I remain completely committed to R4E and the EFQM Excellence Model. The model and the process bring real benefits to the organisation and support me to really test our performance and behaviours against our values and purpose.
Phoenix Futures takes pride in its ability to help create individuals and communities who are confident about recovery, offering hope even in uncertain times.
The Lead Assessor added:
This is a welcome and well-deserved achievement against the backdrop of a number of externally imposed changes and pressures on its sector. It is also leading the way in helping to reduce the stigma around addiction.
Phoenix Futures provides services that engage and involve people and communities with drug and alcohol problems. It offers services within community, prison and residential settings across the UK.
Through expertise and partnerships Phoenix is able to support service users at every stage of their recovery. This includes engagement on the streets, drop-in centres, structured day programmes, within prisons, housing and residential rehabilitation.
