This weeks BQF news from our CEO

Fri, 29/05/2020 - 12:43

Hi,

I write this from my garden and i hope my email finds you, your family and your friends safe and well.

Wow what a sunny week and the fine weather looks to continue into next week. Our BBQ is taking a right hammering 🍔🍗🥩

In the coming weeks much of the BQF team activity will be around executing the plan we agreed at last weeks Board meeting. One of the changes I am most excited by is that we are in the process of refreshing the BQF Academy offerings in Lean, Lean Six Sigma, Agile and Change Management.

These tools, and interest in them, has increased markedly in the last couple of months recognising their importance to getting Britain back on its feet. The BQF Academy web-pages will be refreshed next week and will make it easier for you to determine what training can help augment your career and how to access it.

I will also be announcing details of a new BQF Certified Lean Six Sigma Business Black Belt. this retains the same rigour of our existing Certified Black Belt but with less emphasis on Statistical Analysis. Watch this space 👍👍👍

One of our other key area of interest is Business Excellence. Many of you will be familiar with the EFQM Excellence Model which has now evolved into the EFQM 2020 Model. Next Tuesdays event led by Diane Dibley, our very own Model Guru, will focus on this and introduce you to the power of the new Model and how you might deploy it in your business.

Next weeks Coffee & Conversation is at 1100 next Thursday. This will be hosted on Zoom by CQI Young Professional of the Year. Victoria Derbyshire of Nuvia and Philippa Hawley from Sellafield . They will explore how to attract young people and fresh ideas into the world of Quality.

These twice weekly events are getting great feedback and I encourage you to join them not least because it’s a great opportunity to learn and socialise. As the British Quality Foundation it’s also great to see people from across Europe jumping on these events and they are very welcome 😀💏

I can’t thank you enough on behalf of my colleagues at the BQF for your continuing and unfailing support to us and each other as BQF members 😁❤❤❤

All the very best,

Ian Swain
