Welcome from our new CEO, Ian Swain
Wed, 13/09/2017 - 14:23
It has been a little over 7 years since I first joined BQF as Levels of Excellence Manager. Since then both myself and the organisation have gone through many changes.
I have been lucky to work for three previous Chief Executives Joe Goasdoue, Ian Stokes and most recently Russell Longmuir. All three were hugely supportive of me and colleagues but also extremely invested in delivering maximum value to our members, customers and stakeholders. As the new Chief Executive, at the top of my every to do list is to ensure the BQF team continues to stretch itself to deliver the best customer experience for our family of members and customers.
The BQF team has also changed over time. I expect colleagues to continuously challenge me, and themselves, to ensure we remain the premier organisation representing excellence and performance improvement in the UK and move BQF through the next phase of its own continuous improvement journey.
My time as Levels of Excellence Manager, Sales Director and now Chief Executive has meant I have had the privilege of spending lots of time with members and many have become friends over time. What is increasingly important is that we enable our members to get new insights by creating opportunities to network and share best practice with other members, non-members and other stakeholders.
To achieve this, the team, working in collaboration with member advocates, will develop greater opportunities to be part of a strong and growing member network in the next couple of years. BQF has a thriving services business centred around Lean and Lean Six Sigma, the EFQM Excellence Model and Consultancy. These services have helped many of our members improve their performance. Our new Services and Member Experience team would be delighted to work with you to meet any challenges and opportunities you face.
As always, through social media, the BQF website and communications we will continue to provide regular updates about BQF changes and new initiatives. In the meantime, please don’t hesitate to contact me or the team if you have any questions about how BQF can meet your needs on your journey to organisational excellence.
Otherwise, I look forward to seeing you again soon.
