This official EFQM course is designed to provide you with a detailed understanding of the structure of the EFQM Excellence Model and the stages involved in conducting an assessment. As a Primary Partner of the EFQM, BQF is the only organisation licensed to deliver this course in England and Wales. It is suitable for anyone who is looking for detailed knowledge of the Model or who will be involved in conducting assessments based on the Model. Contact Quality Scotland for enquiries about EFQM and Excellence in Scotland.

Day 1:

The structure of the EFQM Excellence Model – the Fundamental Concepts of Excellence, the Criteria, RADAR.

Day 2:

How to conduct an assessment – the process, organisational context, preparing for a site visit, interviews, writing a feedback report.

This is a pass/fail course.

Participants are required to complete pre-course work of approximately 15 hours and are assessed throughout the two days of training. Tutors work with a maximum of 10 participants to ensure personal attention. We strongly recommend that you attend the Introduction to the EFQM Excellence Model workshop or participate in online introductory training through the EFQM (Basic Assessor Training) prior to booking this course.

Successful completion of the EAT course qualifies you to conduct self/internal/peer assessments.

Gail Tutcher
Presenter Note

Gail Tutcher has been in consultancy for nearly 30 years and has extensive experience of helping major public and private sector organisations within the UK, and elsewhere in the world, to change their culture and to improve performance. In particular, she supports clients who want to align their people, processes and performance measures with their strategic goals. She has worked with the EFQM Excellence Model for the last 25 years and has been a Senior Assessor for EFQM. She is the BQF Director with responsibility for training and consulting services.
