This workshop will help you to develop your leadership capabilities so you become more effective to get the best out of yourself and your teams.

It’s particularly suitable for established managers and leaders who want to maximise their potential and inspire and invigorate others.

You will:

  • Gain a better understanding of the different approaches to leadership
  • Build solid foundations for your own leadership approaches
  • Understand how to become more effective in leading others
  • Take away practices you can use in the workplace
  • Create an action plan for your continued development

Jim Owen
Presenter Note

Jim Owen has worked with the EFQM Excellence Model for the last five years and regularly assesses Award applicants.   He has spent 30 years with the fire and rescue service, ten of which as a senior officer, leading organisations through significant change.

Jim was Deputy Chief Fire Officer (chief operating officer) of Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service for six years up until his retirement in 2015.  He now acts as a business improvement consultant, providing advice and support, coaching and training.  He was awarded the Queens Fire Service Medal for his contribution to the development of fire and rescue services.
