The next meeting of BQF’s Special Interest Group for users of the EFQM Excellence Model will be hosted by past UK Excellence Award winner, the University of Winchester on Wednesday 26 June. The focus of the meeting will be on closing the continuous improvement cycle (or the Assessment and Refinement part of RADAR). Speakers from Chiltern RailwaysInspirometer and the University of Winchester will share case studies and practical ideas. There will also be plenty of opportunities for networking.

Gail will introduce RADAR, the EFQM’s assessment and scoring tool, and will explain why the A&R of RADAR are significant but often overlooked.

Case Study: Using the Inspirometer at Siemens

Mike Clargo, Director, Inspirometer

The Inspirometer is a quick, easy and free tool that can be used to assess the effectiveness of meetings. Mike will explain the application of this (and similar) tools to tracking the softer, cultural aspects of the Excellence model and to enabling self-directed self-improvement in that space. He will illustrate his presentation with examples from within Siemens.

As a past winner of the UK Excellence Awards, the University of Winchester has a long-standing commitment to using the Model. Claire will explain how the application of RADAR, especially the use of the final part of the continuous improvement loop, has helped the University to achieve sustained success.
