Awards entries

Am I eligible to enter?

All organisations can enter our awards. Please see our individual award categories pages for more information on who can apply and the criteria for applying.

Can companies of any size enter?

Yes. We encourage companies of all sizes and from all sectors to enter our awards.

Why should we enter?

The Annual BQF UK Excellence Awards recognise and reward outstanding organisations who demonstrate exceptional levels of excellence across key areas of their business.

The Awards honour the champions, the innovators, the leaders, the role models… in fact any organisation, and new for 2018, individuals engaged in and committed to improving business for employees, customers and stakeholders.

How do I enter?

Applicants can enter our awards via online submissions.

For our UK Excellence Award we do not have an online submission link. Please email [email protected] to discuss this award in more detail.

Can I enter more than one award?

Yes, organisations are welcome to enter as many awards as they want.

I'm unsure on which award to enter. Can I get guidance?

Can we enter overseas awards?

Please contact the Awards team for more information.

When are the entry deadlines?

The entry deadlines are outlined on each of the categories pages.

Deadline for entry to the Innovation, Lean Six Sigma and Leadership awards are all on the 6th of November.

Can I get a discount?

BQF Members are eligible for up to 30% discount dependent on how many entries they make.

Innovation Awards: Charities, charitable trusts or not-for-profit organisations are eligible for the discounted rate of £150 plus VAT.

Is there an early bird rate?

Awards entry fees have been heavily discounted for 2018 therefore we are not offering an early bird rate this time.  However, you can benefit from a 10% early bird rate if you book your table at the Awards Ceremony before 31 July 2017.

Ceremony

When and where is the Ceremony?

Our UK Excellence Awards Ceremony will be taking place on Thursday 15th March 2018 at the Guildhall in the City of London. Anyone wishing to attend the ceremony can purchase a ticket. You don’t need to enter an award to attend.

Who is the host this year?

The host for our 2018 UK Excellence Awards Ceremony will be announced closer to the event. To sign up for updates please click here.

How much are the award ceremony tickets?

Tables of 12 are £3,250 + VAT.

Tables of 10 are £2,750 + VAT.

Half tables (5 Individuals) are £1,350 + VAT.

Individual tickets are £295 + VAT.

Can I book individual seats?

Yes. Guests can book either tables, half tables or individual seats for our Awards Ceremony.

What is the dress code?

The dress code for our awards ceremony is always black tie.

Do we receive anything for winning or being shortlisted?

All winners will receive a trophy and a certificate on the night of awards ceremony. Finalists and winners will receive a feedback report after the Ceremony.

What companies will be attending the awards ceremony?

A list of companies attending our awards ceremony will be released closer to the event. In the meantime, our guest list for our 2016 award ceremony can be accessed here.

How do I get to Guildhall?

Guildhall is just minutes from Bank, Mansion House and St Paul’s underground stations and a short walk from Cannon Street, Moorgate and Liverpool Street underground and rail stations.

Is the Awards Venue suitable for guests with accessibility needs?

Guildhall is a fully accessible venue with step-free access and disabled toilets throughout.

Where is the nearest car park to the awards venue?

There are eight City of London and NCP car parks in the Square Mile. The nearest is located at London Wall.

Application Process

Can I supply supplementary material?

Entrants are able to upload images, tables and graphs to support their entries. These should be a maximum of 10mb per file and is limited to a maximum of 5 files per submission. This should not be used for customer/colleague testimonials or additional supporting documents, which will be included in the overall submission word count. Where possible, include all text in the online entry form. Video/media files can be submitted.

What are the rules of entry?

Do all awards submissions receive feedback?

All award applicants will receive feedback regarding their submission.

Judging Process

Who are the judges?

Judges for each of the categories will be announced at a later date.  You can sign up to receive regular Awards updates to find out more.

What is the judging process?

When will I know I am a finalist?

Finalists for all categories will be notified at the end of November 2017. A representative from BQF will contact award entries via email or phone to let them know if they have been successful or not. We will also announce the shortlist on our website and social media.

When do I find out if I have won?

All award winners will be announced at our UK Excellence Awards Ceremony which will take place on the 15th of March, 2018 at the Guildhall. Visit the Awards Ceremony webpage for more information.

Communications

What PR & Marketing Opportunities will there be if I’m shortlisted?

There are a host of opportunities for all shortlisted companies. We will announce all finalists and winners via Social Media, BQF website, e-newsletters and news items. We can also develop and share case studies for each of the winning organisations. We will also be filming the night of the awards ceremony and will be interviewing finalists and winners on the night.

How can I keep up to date?

CEREMONY

For our 25th Anniversary we’ve relocated our awards ceremony to Guildhall – London’s powerhouse since the twelfth century.
