Outstanding performance and commitment was recognised at the UK Excellence Awards ceremony, where we announced the winners for all 2019 UK Excellence Award categories.
The ceremony was hosted by David Callaghan, President of BQF, and Karen Leftley, a BQF Board Member, and took place at prestigious Royal Lancaster Hotel in London on 16 May 2019.
The evening, which was sponsored by The Adecco Group UK & Ireland, recognised and honoured the champions, the leaders and the role models from a broad range of organisations demonstrating exceptional levels of excellence.

This award celebrates those organisations who champion equality, diversity and human rights every day. They have a strong ethos of ‘opportunity for all’ giving every individual a chance to achieve their potential, free from prejudice and discrimination.
Excellence in Collaboration Award
It is increasingly normal for organisations to work with partners to achieve desired results for their stakeholders. There are many situations where working in these formal and informal arrangements is necessary in order for complementary capabilities to deliver the outcomes for customers, for example. This new award acknowledges the role that working in collaboration plays in organisations’ successes.
Excellence in Sustainability and Society Award
This award recognises excellent organisations that have had a positive impact on the world around them by improving and advancing the economic, environmental and social conditions within the communities they impact or interact with.

BQF International Organisation Award 2019
This award is given where excellence is seen in organisations outside of the UK. This year several juries across a number of categories were able to assess the degree of excellence in a number of areas within this organisation and were extremely impressed by the overall quality they found. There were some innovative and well-structured approaches implemented with some very positive results achieved, leading to one overall winner.
We also want to recognise the organisations who have exceeded the Five Star Level of Excellence. We introduced Excellence 600 as a way of motivating existing high scoring organisations to achieve even more.
