The European recognition programme for performance improvement

Levels of Excellence is a progressive scheme with the 'entry level' being Committed to Excellence (C2E). Having achieved C2E certification, an organisation has the opportunity to move to Recognised for Excellence (R4E). If an organisation is confident of achieving over 300 points in an independent assessment, it is quite possible to apply for R4E without having obtained C2E certification.

Levels of Excellence provides encouragement and recognition for all organisations:

	Committed to Excellence -	a simple self assessment providing recognition at entry level.
	Recognised for Excellence -	three recognition levels for those moving up from C2E and progressing towards Excellence. 5 star recognition is just one step away from the UK Business Excellence Awards.

Recognition includes certification and use of insignia as well as inclusion on EFQM's Levels of Excellence database.
