The BQF Strategic Healthcheck is a high level, one day workshop to help organisations align their improvement activities with their business goals.
In modern business environments, many organisations put great efforts into ensuring they stay ahead in the
marketplace. In doing this, they commit significant resource to approaches such as Lean, Six Sigma, the Excellence Model and
other improvement methodologies in order to reduce process complexity and increase profitability for their stakeholders. To
be truly effective however, business improvement activities should be geared to enable the achievement of an organisation’s
strategic objectives.
This might sound obvious, but typically up to 50% of the improvement activity taking place within an
organisation is driving improvement in areas that are not aligned with that organisation’s goals.
The BQF's one-day Strategic Healthcheck workshop should ideally involve all senior managers involved in the prioritisation of resource usage. This workshop is held at members' premises, is completely confidential and
involves:
- Clarification of strategic objectives
- High-level analysis of current and planned improvement activities
- Assessment of the alignment between these two elements
- Identification of any gaps
- Recommendations on closing the gaps identified
