BQF Excellence Healthchecks


The BQF's Excellence Healthchecks are interactive workshops to help organisations analyse and improve key areas of their business. There are six Healthchecks and a short description of each follows.

Business Continuity Healthcheck

The Business Continuity Healthcheck is benchmarked against BS 25999, the world’s first standard for Business Continuity Management. It analyses the organisation’s preparedness to deal with a crisis, identifying what is working well in terms of culture and processes and what is inhibiting effective business continuity planning.

Strategic Planning Healthcheck

Up to 50% of the improvement activity taking place within an organisation is either ineffective or driving improvement in areas that are not aligned with its goals. The aim is to help organisations to align their improvement activities with their business goals by assessing current activities in terms of their alignment and effectiveness, identifying gaps and formulating ways to close the gaps.

Supply Chain Healthcheck

This healthcheck helps ensure that supply chain and supplier management activities are providing the best possible solution in relation to business/organisational goals. We look at the current processes and identify where there are opportunities to increase alignment with goals and remove unnecessary cost and duplication.

Information Security Healthcheck

This involves analysing the standard of the organisation’s information security and identifying what is working well, and where information is most vulnerable. It enables the organisation’s management to improve significantly the culture and process of information security and to develop plans that will ensure that all of its critical data is protected and secure.

Innovation Healthcheck

The Innovation Healthcheck examines key indicators, determines strengths and weaknesses and identifies ways of improving innovation throughout the organisation. It enables the organisation to improve significantly the culture and process of innovation, unlock the creative talents of your people and to build an innovative, entrepreneurial culture that welcomes and initiates change.

Sustainability Healthcheck

The aim is to review the organisation’s approach to sustainability in order to move it to a higher level of performance. The first stage examines the organisation’s approach to sustainability and the second focuses on the immediate cost reductions that can be delivered by energy saving.

Lean Six Sigma Deployment Healthcheck
