Training

The Lean Six Sigma Academy is capable of providing both In-house training and Open-market training services in Lean and Six Sigma

Training programmes offered are rigorous and require total commitment to ensure success.

Significant culture changes can be involved and successful programmes require tenacity and dedication to the pursuit of perfection. Tutors are drawn from experienced Lean and Six Sigma trainers and consultants selected from some of the leading organisations in the UK. Materials have been developed in cooperation with leading providers.

Academy training programmes require the trainee to accomplish assigned work in a highly professional manner. Upon completion of these courses, trainees will be able to:

  • Prioritise improvement activities for greatest organisational impact.
  • Lead teams in applying Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Define improvement projects that satisfy customer requirements.
  • Measure inputs and outputs to provide meaningful data.
  • Analyse data to identify the root causes of variability.
  • Improve selected processes to reduce variability, including the use of designed experiments.
  • Improve processes to reduce variability.
  • Control processes to prevent reoccurrence of variation and consolidate gains.

Academy training programmes offer numerous case studies and examples drawn from service, business process, and manufacturing applications. Because courses are designed with a heavy practice orientation, as much as half of the trainee's time is spent working through interactive practice exercises and online assessments.

In House Training

Costs of in-house training will be determined by the number of employees involved and the level of support required. This tailored approach to training can often work out to be more cost effective than the Open market training options.

Open Market Training - Lean Six Sigma

The Open Market Six Sigma training programme has been carefully designed to meet the needs of European based organisations building training experience working inside organisations across Europe.

The modular nature of the programme has been designed to provide maximum flexibility and a variety of options to meet different individual and organisational requirements.

How does it work?

This modular programme can take you to either Green Belt (Foundation or Advanced), or Black Belt level. There are 4 levels which can be achieved:

  1. Foundation Green Belt
  2. Foundation Green Belt Plus Effective Change Management
  3. Advanced Green Belt
  4. Black Belt (DMAIC) or (DFSS)

We run the programmes in Waves. You may choose whichever dates suit, as they do not have to be in the same wave as long as Foundation Green Belt and the statistics modules are taken sequentially. Change Management may be taken at any time and is also available as a standalone course.

  • Foundation Green Belt (4 days)
  • Effective Change Management (3 days)
  • Statistical Tools 1 (3 days)
