York and North Yorkshire Probation is Recognised for Excellence

York and North Yorkshire Probation Trust has achieved 4 stars in the Recognised for Excellence (R4E) programme. This is an inspiring result, having been achieved at the first time of application.

The Trust employs over 200 staff, working from six offices across York and North Yorkshire. Their staff also work within two prisons and six magistrates' courts across North Yorkshire and in one Crown Court based in York.

R4E is part of the EFQM Levels of Excellence programme and is designed for organisations that are well on their way to organisational excellence. It recognises successful efforts to implement excellence and good practice, and offers the benefits of a structured approach to identifying organisational strengths and areas for improvement as well as an external point of view.
