  • Look at some existing and emerging standards in other areas of business activity and sectors, for example link-up in the Rail industry.

  • Practical exercises to understand your current level of readiness for specific standards
  • Reviewing where you are now to determine if certification by a UKAS recognised body is appropriate and how to go forward

Ley Hill Solutions - Tom McCormick and Graham Hull
Ley Hill Solutions is one of Europe's most innovative consultancy organisations, specialising in the tools and methods to improve the way businesses work and perform. Ley Hill's consultants use internationally recognised standards and frameworks such as ISO9001, the EFQM Excellence Model and RADAR to develop solutions that work for the organisations that wish to deploy them. Tom and Graham are two of Ley Hill's most experienced consultants.

Tom McCormick has over 20 years' experience of business improvement and development using change and quality management techniques, and has worked with the Model for over 15 years. In his role as an assessor for the UK Excellence Award since 1998 and a senior assessor since 2002, he has assessed and worked with Award applicants including finalists and winners, as well as those in the early stages of using the Model. He also assesses applicants for Recognised for Excellence (R4E). His experience covers private, public and voluntary sector organisations from well-known global brands and major departments of state to privately-owned small businesses and charitable trusts. As an ISO lead auditor, Tom advises organisations on development and integration of their management systems to achieve ISO Certification by UKAS-accredited bodies. 

After working in industry for nearly 25 years, Graham Hull is now the Managing Director of Ley Hill Solutions and has over 15 years' experience of working with the Model. He has helped numerous organisations across the world to achieve success and recognition for their achievements in quality management. He is a senior assessor for the UK Excellence Award, a Committed To Excellence (C2E) and R4E validator, and Chair of the Business Continuity Networking Group.

He specialises in helping organisations of all sizes develop their management processes and implement business improvement programmes. As an ISO lead auditor he provides specialist support to organisations wishing to integrate their various management systems such as ISO9001 (Quality Management) with ISO14001 (Environmental).
