Red Island Consulting - Ian Davis
Ian Davis is a Principal Consultant and Lead Auditor with Red Island Consulting. He has over 20 years experience in developing, implementing, managing and improving Business Continuity Plans as an internal resource and external consultant in numerous business types including military, public and private sector organisations, in both well established businesses and start up companies. He has implemented and tested business continuity for organisations in the UK, USA, Middle East and in the Asia-Pacific region.

Major accomplishments include developing risk assessment and business impact methodologies for a major international healthcare company, identifying technical and security risks of hundreds of business critical systems, business processes and services, and developing appropriate business continuity plans and technical security improvement plans.

Red Island Consulting have also been developing the business continuity strategy and the development of multi-level plans for a major UK ISP culminating in a complete site test over two days, involving full implementation of plans at all levels including senior management and post incident management reviews. They are also involved in building the business continuity plans for a number of public sector organisations in line with ISO27001:2005 requirements and specific requirements of the Civil Contingencies Act 2004.
