Catalyst Consulting - John Morgan
Catalyst Consulting is Europe's leading provider of Lean Six Sigma solutions. Catalyst's mission is to ‘enable results' for clients by accelerating the rate of performance improvement and extending the deployment of world-class best business practice.

At the heart of the Catalyst service is the experience of its people - practical, real world experience gained in senior management positions in a range of industries. Catalyst Consultants have worked with small, medium and large organisations, in the public and private sector, from start-up companies to multi-nationals, in the UK, Europe and beyond. Catalyst's style of delivery is focused very much on people values and this is strongly rooted in all team members.

John Morgan has been a Director of Catalyst since 1995. In addition to this role, he also jointly heads the Lean Six Sigma Academy on behalf of the BQF. He is the author of 'The Lean Six Sigma Improvement Journey' and 'Go Lean', and the co-author of 'Lean Six Sigma for Dummies' and 'SPC in the Office'. In addition to these publications, John is also the author of several 'in-house' books that have been tailored for organisations including General Electric, BT, O2, Saint-Gobain Glass, London Underground and BAA. At Catalyst, John's main role is the development of their highly acclaimed materials.

John specialises in making technical topics simple to understand for people at all levels in an organisation, enabling them to improve performance by applying the right Lean Six Sigma tools and techniques in the right way. In particular, he seeks to help managers understand that their role is to work on processes, with the people in the processes, to find ways of improving these processes and the way they work.

A Chartered Insurer, and Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute, John's early career background was in Aviation Insurance and Reinsurance. He first started to apply both Lean and Six Sigma techniques in his role as Customer Service Director for a North American Financial Services organisation, before joining Catalyst. His experience has led to him being interviewed by the BBC about the potential of Lean and Six Sigma in the UK, especially in the Public Sector.

Renault-Nissan Consulting - Glenn Gooding
Renault-Nissan Consulting is the global business improvement arm of the Renault-Nissan Alliance, and works with a variety of industries and organisations, both in Service and Manufacturing, to enable them to effectively implement their Business Improvement programmes.

Through the implementation of improvement approaches such as Lean and Six Sigma, the Alliance has shown consistent growth and has become one of the most respected benchmarks in improvement activity, and a pioneer of approaches such as Lean Sigma.

Glenn Gooding has over 15 years experience in the Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement disciplines, across a range of industries in the UK and the USA and now works as a Senior Consultant for Renault-Nissan Consulting. Prior to working with the BQF, Glenn held senior management positions as Master Black Belt at a leading medical device manufacturer. In this role, Glenn led the implementation of Lean and Six Sigma at facilities both in the UK and US, delivering significant year on year financial benefits to the organisation through increased throughput, waste elimination and cost reduction projects.
