Overview

At this event, you will hear from leading experts about the challenges associated with health and safety in the workplace and how accidents of all types are being reduced due to new methods of training and engagement.
You will also gain insights into the importance of a safe working environment from the office to the construction site and will hear about how to engage your colleagues workforce with behavioural safety. This event is suitable for all those interested in improving their working environment and implementing health and safety measures.

While getting hurt at work or becoming ill through work is not a pleasant subject to think about. The reality, according to the HSE, is that over 200 people a year lose their lives at work in Britain. In addition, around 150 000 nonfatal injuries are reported each year, and an estimated 2 million suffer from ill health caused or made worse by work.

This event will discuss the problems associated with implementing health and safety measures and we will aim to show that it doesn't have to be expensive, time consuming or complicated. In fact, safer and more efficient working practices can often save money but, more importantly, they can help to save lives. With presentations and networking opportunities, this event will also provide a platform for debate and the sharing of ideas around the theme of improving safety across your organisation.
