(ITTs) is evidence that the tenderer has achieved ISO 9001 certification.
The BQF believes that organisations can and should aspire to much more than this, specifically a proven and active commitment to achieving business excellence. We recommend, therefore, that organisations should consider questions such as the following when preparing their ITTs:
If you wish to go even further, and we recommend that you should, please consider including the following wording (or a paraphrased version of it) in your future ITTs:
'We are committed to the concept and practical application of business excellence and it is important to us that our supply chain partners are aligned with this approach. This is because we want to work with companies that share our values and constantly strive for continuous improvement in everything they do. So we are not just concerned with product and service quality. We want our suppliers to be concerned about excelling in each of the Fundamental Concepts of Excellence which are the essentials for achieving sustainable excellence in any organisation.
The Fundamental Concepts underpin the Model which enables understanding of the cause and effect relationships between what the organisation does and the results it achieves.
With the support of RADAR logic it is possible to make a robust assessment of the degree of excellence of any organisation. The best way to reassure your stakeholders of your commitment to excellence is to obtain certification under the EFQM Levels of Excellence programme.
