Committed to Excellence is designed for organisations, or organisational units, that are at the beginning of their journey to Excellence. For these organisations, the emphasis is on creating passion and commitment amongst internal stakeholders, in order to generate the necessary momentum to start improvement activities. For applicant organisations, Committed to Excellence provides them a practical and simple way to build on their knowledge and experience of the EFQM Excellence Model and RADAR logic.
Who should apply?

Gain practical experience and learn from preparing for the site visit.
Achieving C2E certification involves three stages.
Stage One: Self-Assessment
The first task is to carry out a simple assessment against the nine criteria of the Excellence
Model using the questionnaire approach (the simplest) or any other method approved by the BQF. The output from
this stage is a list of improvement opportunities for prioritisation and development of an action plan.
Stage Two: Improving Performance
The main steps involved in improving performance are:
agreeing the prioritisation criteria and prioritising the improvements
planning the improvement activities
implementing the improvements
This leads to development of an action plan to help implement and monitor actions, as well as to provide
the necessary documentation for validation.
Stage Three: Validation
Applicants receive a visit from a trained validator 6-9 months after completion of the self-assessment and development of the Improvement/Action plan. The visit should take no longer than a day and allows the validator to see improvement in action.
All organisations receive a feedback report detailing the outcome of the process and successful ones receive a certificate and C2E logo.
Unsuccessful organisations are given feedback on the areas in which they need to improve before re-applying.
